Position:Senior Legal Counsel
Department: Legal & Compliance, Corporate Affairs
Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
Employment Type: Full-time
Educational Qualification:
• LL.B (Hons) from a reputed university.
• LL.M from a reputed local or foreign university is preferred.
• A vocational degree, such as the Bar Professional Training Course, is an advantage.
• Enrolment in the Bangladesh Bar Council is required.
Experience:
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in corporate, telecommunications, or multinational company environments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on corporate, regulatory, and governance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, notices, and other legal documents.
• Advise on employment, labour laws, workplace policies, investigations, and disciplinary matters.
• Provide guidance on telecommunications, competition, consumer protection, privacy, data protection, and compliance laws.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support corporate governance, commercial transactions, and engagement with regulators and public authorities.
• Manage legal disputes and litigation in coordination with external counsel.
Requirements:
• Experience in corporate advisory, legal opinions, contract review, negotiation, dispute management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
