Educational Qualification:
• B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, EEE, Information Technology, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Experience:
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Software Engineering.
• At least 5 years in a senior engineering leadership role such as Head, Director, VP of Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in ICT, FinTech, Banking, Telecommunications, or Digital Financial Services.
• Experience with MFS, payment systems, or high-volume transaction systems will be strongly preferred.
Requirements:
• Strong engineering leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Expertise in API/middleware and integration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps/SRE, security, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Digital Financial Services (DFS), fintech, payment systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong people leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and executive presentation skills.
• Strong ownership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and own engineering strategy and multi-year technology roadmap.
• Translate business and product objectives into an executable engineering agenda.
• Lead technology selection and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Establish software engineering standards, development practices, and quality gates.
• Own architecture governance and approve major technology and design decisions.
• Lead Product Software Development and Middleware & Commercial Solutions delivery units.
• Drive automation, CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices.
• Ensure platforms scale for transaction growth, availability, resilience, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive innovation and R&D initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to MFS and fintech.
• Lead engineering capacity planning and develop, mentor, and retain senior engineering talent.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration with Product, Commercial, Technology Governance, vendors, and integration partners.
• Monitor engineering performance, delivery status, and KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
